For GMHC at Carnegie Hall, he produced the celebrated concert versions of Stephen Sondheim and Arthur Laurents’s ANYONE CAN WHISTLE, starring Madeline Kahn, Bernadette Peters, Scott Bakula and Angela Lansbury, and directed by Herbert Ross (recorded by Columbia Records and nominated for a Grammy award), and Cole Porter and Moss Hart’s JUBILEE, starring Bea Arthur, Tyne Daly, Sandy Duncan, Michael Jeter, Bob Paris, Alice Ripley, Stephen Spinella and Damian Woetzel; at Avery Fisher Hall he produced SHOWSTOPPERS!: a Salute to the Best of Broadway, starring Jerry Orbach, Chita Rivera, Brian Stokes Mitchell, Robert Morse, Colm Wilkinson, Andrea McArdle, Carol Lawrence, Randy Graff, Pamela Myers and more! Peter also produced the benefit concert FIRST LADIES OF SONG at Alice Tully Hall for the Eleanor Roosevelt Monument Fund, an evening featuring Rosemary Clooney, Barbara Cook, Judy Collins, Kitty Carlisle Hart, Lena Horne, Marilyn Horne, Shirley Verrett, Julie Wilson, and Joanne Woodward, with special guest speaker Hillary Rodham Clinton.
In addition to benefit concerts, Peter has unveiled three monuments for the City of New York, honoring Eleanor Roosevelt, Duke Ellington, and Antonin Dvorak, produced a memorial tribute to the late Herbert Ross at the Majestic Theatre, produced the New York City premiere of the internationally renowned Nrityagram Dance Ensemble, and overseen the international entertainment for philanthropist George Soros’s 75th birthday party.
